Heggerty Nursery Rhyme Video Collection on HeidiSongs.tv!

News Flash:  All Nursery rhymes from the Pre-K and Kindergarten Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Program are now available as music videos on HeidiSongs.tv!

Do you love to teach nursery rhymes?  Do you use the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Program?  Then we have some great news:  HeidiSongs now has a Heggerty collection of nursery rhyme videos that include ALL of the rhymes included in the Heggerty Pre-K and Kindergarten program, plus even MORE in the general Nursery Rhymes video collection!  We have even put them in the order they are presented in the Pre-K Heggerty book!

Animated and Fun!

These videos are ANIMATED and SO MUCH FUN!!! If you have never tried to teach your students some nursery rhymes, then you MUST try this!  Once I tried them, I (Heidi) was really surprised at how much my students really loved these little traditional rhymes and poems.  In fact, my TK kids loved singing them so much that they would break out in song while walking in line!  I loved it, and it really made me happy to see them enjoying the nursery rhymes so much!

Every Nursery Rhyme Is a Song with Movements

Every nursery rhyme has been set to music to make it super easy to learn and has simple motions for little ones to follow.  If you’ve used HeidiSongs videos for a while, you’ll know just what I mean:  with music, movement, and on-screen visuals, children can learn FAST!  Only one nursery rhyme was recorded as a rap, and that is “A Wise Old Owl.”  It has a great beat, and I really like how it turned out!

28 Nursery Rhymes with Multicultural Actors, Plus the ABC Song

Here are some details about this collection. It has 28 nursery rhyme songs on it, plus one extra “bonus song” at the end, which is the traditional ABC Song, done “Heidi Style!”  (Try it, and you’ll see what I mean!)  The videos have our new, young, multicultural actors in them, both male and female so that most (if not all) children are represented.

All Nursery Rhymes Use Traditional Words

All of the Nursery Rhymes’ traditional words are intact; none of them have been changed. Also, if any of the nursery rhymes had a traditional song, that has also been used.  We turned all of the rest of the nursery rhymes into songs!

Our Heggerty Nursery Rhyme Collection

Here is a list of all of the nursery rhymes that are included in our Heggerty Nursery Rhyme collection.   The 13 new ones that we created especially for this collection have a * next to them.  🙂  This list is in order that they are presented in the Heggerty pre-K book.  The nursery rhymes taught in the Heggerty Kindergarten book are also included in this same list, but for some reason, they only included nine of them. 🤷🏻‍♀️  (See graphic below.)

Heggerty Nursery Rhyme Posters

If you would like a collection of posters for the Heggerty nursery rhymes, Heidi made some and posted them on TpT!  They have the lyrics and a scene from the videos on the front, plus the motions for each one written out with little illustrations to print on the back (if you choose to do so.)  They are cute and would make a great addition to a focus wall if you change them out weekly.
